John from New Hampshire tells us that making breakfast on the weekends is an important part of his time with the grandkids. He says they just can't get enough of his "special" scrambled eggs" What makes them special you ask? John says that when mixing up the eggs, he adds a "pour or two" of maple syrup to the eggs before cooking. This gives them a slightly sweet taste that he swears this is the ONLY way to eat scrambled eggs! Maple syrup is not as sweet as sugar (it's true!) and does not over power the dish. Sounds great!
David from New Hampshire loves his bacon. Don't waste your time with store brand "maple flavored" bacon he writes...do it yourself! As you slowly fry the bacon, sprinkle the top of the bacon with pure maple sugar. Flip the bacon over and sprinkle with a touch more. Your bacon will have a crisp and wonderful flavor that your family will devour!
Ken from California likes his pancakes with a "stick to your ribs" touch! As his pancakes sizzle in the pan, he sprinkles the top of the uncooked side of the pancake with some of his favorite granola...nuts, raisins and all! Flip them over to lightly cook on the granola side and of course, pour some of that great Christies Maple Farm syrup on the top. These pancakes keep him and his growing teenage son going all day long!
