New England Corn Fritters
Ingredients 1 egg well beaten 1/2 cup milk 1 cup flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 cup cream-style corn 2 Tbsp soft shortening little grated onion if desired 1/2 tsp salt
Description Ol' time corn fritters with a new taste!
Directions Combine ingredients as given. Beat well. Drop by large spoonfuls onto well-greased griddle or fry pan. When bubbles apprear, turn and brown on other side. Serve hot with melted butter and maple syrup. (Thanks to the NH Maple Producers' Association Cookbook)
